LLUÍÍÍÍÍÍS! Coreografies amb l’arxiu (Cheese! Choreographies from the Archive) is a choreographic exercise inspired by the Municipal Archive of Granollers. The project begins with a selection of group photographs, from which the choreographer isolates specific individuals to depersonalize and reframe them as ‘characters,’ ‘figures,’ or ‘bodies.’ This approach allows for the exploration of imaginary movement emerging from their gestures in the photographs. The resulting choreography is created, worked on, and performed by students from the Arsénic Theatre School. This piece imagines a fantastical relationship between the chosen figures, presenting a new group image in motion that encourages us to observe how we position and self-represent ourselves in group photographs.
