Panoràmic is a festival of Arts and Visual Cultures that explores the relationship between cinema, photography, and emerging image practices, while promoting research into new audiovisual languages and narratives.
It was founded with a commitment to critical visual literacy, aimed at audiences who are increasingly immersed in image-saturated environments, and therefore with a strong public-service vocation.
Panoràmic offers a space for knowledge and reflection between still and moving images. It does so by embracing all the fields in which images are present: feature and short film screenings, video art, video installations, video games, mappings, exhibitions, workshops, lectures, conferences, TV formats, installations, archives, bibliography, photobooks, and interactive projects, among others.
Panoràmic has established itself as a reference festival for contemporary culture, showcasing expanded visual arts across multiple forms and creative processes. Through education and training, reflection and dialogue, transversality and hybridity, creativity and learning, and a strong commitment to contemporary and diverse culture, Panoràmic aims to become a key reference for both cities and the country.
The Panoràmic festival is directed by Joan Fontcuberta and Albert Gusi, and has an advisory team composed of Andrés Hispano, Mercè Alsina, Federica Matelli, and Fèlix Pérez-Hita.
