The project «Ombres i clarianes» invites us to explore the archive of the Centre Excursionista de Catalunya. It establishes a dialogue with two projects by Enric Maurí about Montseny: «Instal·lacions Furtives. Narratives de no-ficció» (2013) and «La caseta i l’hortet» (2017). This presentation contrasts an idyllic Montseny (photographed in the early and mid-twentieth centuryby CIEGO members) with a stressed Montseny, which has become one of the green lungs of the Barcelona metropolitan area.

«La caseta i l’hortet» is a project that contrasts the political ideology of Francesc Macià in the 1930s, inspired by the garden-city concept, with the speculative housing developments of the 1960s and 1970s. This speculation led to the degradation of natural spaces, with the accumulation of waste in all rural and peri-urban areas due to the massive presence of visitors.

«Instal·lacions Furtives. Narratives de no-ficció» investigates and analyzes uncontrolled dumping in the Vallès Oriental region.
